Gigseen Blog Feature

There’s a nice feature on us over at Gigseen.blogspot.co.uk which delves into our catalog of music as well as what we’ve been up to.

On Arecibo:

“The title track especially is one that travels the outer bounds of ambient spacerock, somewhere down the kraut end of post-rock maybe, with a superb backing beat holding everything together as the rest soars.”

Arecibo Interview at Zegagg.com

Who is MINIONTV, how did you meet and which instruments do you play?

MINIONTV: We are an instrumental rock band based in Livepool, UK. The band came together when Justin and I went looking for other band members. I knew Barry through work so it was only Simon and Andy who we met through ads. Justin plays guitar, Barry plays keyboards, Simon drums, Andy Bass and I’m (Stephen) on guitar and keyboards.

Interview for Ashtapes

Do you still buy CDs/vinyl/tape?

I tend to buy vinyl more than CDs these days just because it feels a bit more precious. It’s great getting a digital download of the album which often comes with vinyl.

Liverpool Echo article

An article in the Liverpool Echo about the Battleships Lexus advert.

LIVERPOOL post-rock band MinionTV are revving up for a career in the music fast lane after one of their songs was used in a new advert.

The five-piece recorded Battleships, a track which will feature in an online marketing campaign for luxury car brand Lexus.

The ad is being shown on the Lexus website and will be seen in dealerships and motor shows to promote the IS 250C model, the company’s first convertible.

The Liverpool lads have already enjoyed success across the Pond – their song Don’t Burn The House Down was featured on VH1 reality TV show Sober House earlier this year.
